“The little bang” is a 2D animated film, about two stars’ friendship in a vast universe.
Two stars crossed celestial bodies striving to close the distance, no matter the cost.
Friendship knows no distance even if it means being light years away.
Early stages of development
Animation Process
Characters are initially animated in Adobe Animate, to rough out the timing of their body movement and facial expression. Later, They are imported in After effects to trace over and finalize the animation. Face assets are created in After effects and animated individually with hold frames, in order to maximize the traditional look of the animation. After that textures and effects are added.
Effects
Various types of effects are used to improve the film’s fantastic and dreamy atmosphere. Fine dust particles are used many times, as it was used to portrait energy. Slow motion of water movement is subtly moving across the space, giving more life to the space.
Color Scheme
The film goes through different stages of color throughout the story. When the red star is introduced, the screen consists of warm colors of planets with the red star itself. Even the background color is purple to emphasize this concept. As the story progresses and the blue star is introduced, the cool color of green and blue starts to smear into the screen. Background color starts to change colder as well, portraying their developed friendship through change of color.
