Trellis was in a phase where motion lacked clear system-level implementation, making it difficult for teams to apply motion consistently across the product. Implementing new design system foundations was especially challenging because Trellis had been built over 10+ years without motion tokens or a scalable motion framework.
I started approaching motion as a foundational element of Trellis, defining how it should live within the system rather than as one-off animation work. My contributions span component-level motion guidance, reusable patterns for AI loading, loading, and celebration moments, and prototyping that helps teams understand, align on, and implement motion more consistently across a system that has influenced 200+ teams and surfaces.
