[ Summary ]
As Lead Motion Designer, I helped define a flexible motion system that gave Patreon a more distinct motion identity across brand and product. The goal was to capture Patreon’s unique personality: fluid, adaptable, and shaped around the creators at the center of the platform.
I approached the motion identity as an extension of the brand prinipcle:
Organic, Contextual, Intentional. Using the dynamic “P” logo as a foundation, I developed motion behaviors that felt personal, helping the brand move in a way that felt less corporate and more human. My work translated this motion language into a system that could scale across product, marketing, campaigns, and creator-facing moments. It gave teams clearer tools and principles for creating motion that felt consistent, ownable, and aligned with Patreon’s mission of putting creators first.
